The Marquees is eind 2009 ontstaan. Ze spelen een mix van Blues en Rock 'n Roll, met flinke invloeden uit de 70's, hier en daar een randje punk, en al het andere wat ze lekker vinden klinken. In deze formatie timmeren ze sinds halverwege 2011 aan de weg. Inspiratie voor eigen nummers wordt gehaald uit bands als o.a. Cream, CCR, The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Small Faces en The Rolling Stones.
